Hitched: Adriana + Arnie

Hitched: Adriana + Arnie

Back in 2014, Adriana met Arnie while working as a waitress at the Greek House Restaurant. Arnie was one of her regular customers and sparks flew in that restaurant. On September 14th, 2019 at Agar’s Corner, Adriana and Arnie got married! They had a casual wedding full of love, that let their love shine!

Tell us about the proposal. I proposed at our apartment, and waited for her in our bedroom. Her nursing shifts were mainly evenings at that point, so she was working until about midnight. I had wanted to propose on our upcoming fishing trip, but I couldn’t wait! It was very casual and nothing fancy.

Tell us about the engagement ring/wedding bands, the process of picking it out, your experience at GMG. Arnie was just “looking for a chain” to get me at a jewellery store. Robert helped us find the perfect engagement ring. The ring was a 3.75 size and it fit perfectly!! Arnie’s band was made by combining his grandparent’s rings together, which is super special!

Give us a brief overview of how your day was. My bridesmaids and I stayed at the Delta Bessborough and the guys stayed at our home. We did a lot by ourselves, including all of the planning. We had sangria made for the house wine at the reception and Arnie had made our wedding cake. My brothers and dad handled the music during the reception while my uncle covered transportation for the bridal party and was also our MC. My mom and grandma made Spanish food for midnight lunch.

Are there any surprises, special moments, things that didn’t go quite is planned, or funny stories that happened to make the day extra special? I forgot my veil! We had to pick it up on the way to Agar’s Corner, which caused us to be 30 minutes late! Also, Robert actually came to drop of my wedding gift, which was a beautiful necklace. It was so nice to see him on our special day!

What were your favourite memories and moments? The food was amazing! The sangria was a big hit and we had a blast dancing all night long!

Do you have any advice for future brides? Pack your veil with your wedding dress!!

Thank you so much Adriana and Arnie for sharing your special day with us! We can’t wait to see how the love between you grows!
