No one is shocked when we say Christmas is the #1 day to get engaged! It’s a time full of love and celebration with your family and close friends. The joy in the air makes it an extra special occasion. It also allows you to have a celebration because all of the people you love are already together! But how do you actually pop the question at Christmas time? We are going to go into the top ways we think you should propose this Christmas!
During an Outdoor Activity
When you think Christmas, going outside doesn’t really come to mind, since it is typically pretty cold out. However, getting out of the house to propose can be magical! Around the holidays, a lot of time is spent indoors, its great to get out and do something fun and romantic together! Whether you go skating, or for a crisp walk by the river, or go to a Christmas tree farm to buy your tree, you will have the perfect opportunity to propose! Going outside also allows you to have a friend or photographer hide to capture the special moment without her finding out.
Under the Tree
A classic way to propose at Christmas is wrapping the ring in a cute little box and putting it under the tree for her to open in the morning! It is simple and timeless; you don’t need to have an extravagant proposal if that’s not you or her! She might not even be expecting that it is a ring in the box, she could be thinking you got her a different piece of jewellery that she has been hinting at! You could also give her a laugh by putting the ring in a series of boxes so she doesn’t suspect that there is a stunning ring hiding under the tree.
Custom Advent Calendar
If you know that she loves advent calendars, make her a custom one, where day 25 has a ring hidden inside. Fill all the other days with her favourite treat or you could even put small presents on random days to throw her off so she doesn’t suspect anything other than a sweet, personal gesture. Keep in mind, this one will only work if you know you can trust her not to open day 25 on day 1. This is a great way to propose because it is super customizable and it will make for an amazing story!

A walking twinkle tour is both romantic and Christmasy at the same time! On your walk, you will find the perfect place to stop, that is in front of a beautifully lit house, tell her you love her, and pull out that perfect ring!
