Love Story: Kimberlee + Richard
Summer is the most beautiful season, indeed!
It’s the time of fun, trips, get-together, weddings, and yes, the Proposal!
Today, we are going to share the love story of a beautiful girl and a handsome boy, Kimberlee & Richard!
Made for each other
How and when did the two of you meet?
We like to say we met through a mixture of mutual friends and tinder. We had actually met a handful of times in person, but it wasn’t until I had told our mutual friend that we had matched on tinder that she made me message him. I guess our first meeting would have been sometime in 2018, but we didn’t have our first date until the spring of 2019.
What do the two of you do for fun?
The activities and interests we enjoy are honestly pretty standard, nothing too exciting. We love spending the summer at the lake when we can and taking our dog on walks/hikes.
Tell us about the proposal.
The Proposal
Richard ended up proposing in our living room. After having the ring for a bit, he had crafted a plan to propose a trip to Calgary, unfortunately, I ended up getting Covid and we needed to cancel the trip.
As a plan B, he suggested we go out for supper the following weekend since we would be out of isolation. Of course, on the day of the supper reservation, he finally tested positive and he decided he wasn’t going to wait any longer.
He ordered supper and we were just about to watch a movie when proposed on our couch.
What do you love about your engagement ring?
My favorite things about my ring are that I’ve never seen someone with the same thing and that Richard (with the help of Robert :)) took my inspiration and made it even better.
I love that it is simple but still interesting.

Where are you planning to go on your honeymoon?
We haven't been able to decide on a honeymoon destination. Every time we talk about it we bring up a ton of great options that we'd both love to do, but never make any decisions on it.
At this point all we know is we want a destination that offers a mixture of relaxation and adventure.
