We're delighted to share Rejeanne and Jeff's love story!
When did you meet?
We met in 2010 through a mutual friend. Our first kiss was at folk fest!
How did you know he was the one?
I knew he was the one pretty much immediately. I just always wanted to be with him. And he was so present with me all the time. Actually within a few months of dating I told my mom I would marry him and guessed that he would propose in the winter of 2012. My mom thought I was crazy... Turns out I was right!
Tell us a little about the proposal.
December 6, 2012. In our home in front of the Christmas tree with a 100 candles lit. He had roses and pictures of us making a path to him standing in a suit. I don't remember much of what he said because I was in shock. It was a random Thursday and he definitely surprised me. I said yes and cried a lot.
And the ring…
The ring is what I picked out! I had always wanted an infinity band and had my eye on a Tacori one.
When and where did you marry?
We married at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm in the garden on October 5, 2013
What was the most memorable moment about the big day?
After we signed the papers at the ceremony it hit us both that it was pretty much done and we made a face at each other. This was captured by my auntie. I love it! (attached photo). My mom and dad are both criers and they cried while walking me down the aisle, and I thought I for sure would too, but instead I just felt calm.
What has been the best part of married life?
The best part of married life is that we've started our life together and can make plans and attain them. Coming home to him every day and making memories.
