Wedding Band Shopping Checklist
Wedding ring shopping often gets pushed to the end of the list when planning a wedding. It is important to start shopping for your rings early so that you are not rushed when making a decision. Shop Early
We suggest that you start shopping for your wedding rings six months before your wedding. Shopping early will allow you the time to find the exact rings you are looking for. Often, wedding rings need to be ordered and sized so you will need extra time for that. Do you want to have a ring custom-made? You will need to make sure there is time to have it designed and created.
Pick Your Metal
What your ring is made out of can be important. Some metals are more durable than others. You should consider how active your lifestyle is when choosing your wedding rings. Do you work with your hands or at a labour-intensive job? Your ring can become scratched and wear down over time because gold is a relatively soft metal. There are many alternative metals, such as platinum which is much stronger than gold.
Do you need matching bands?
It’s up to you! Traditionally couples have had matching styles or materials used for their wedding bands but that doesn’t mean you have to. You are going to be wearing your ring for a long time so you should absolutely love it. Many couples have very different styles so it can be difficult to find a look you will both wear.
Find Your Style
There are thousands of different styles and designs to choose from. It can help to have an idea in mind when you come shopping. Your wedding ring could be as simple as a gold band or elaborate with mixed metals and diamonds.
