SUMMER PICKS: WEDDING GUESTS

SUMMER PICKS: WEDDING GUESTS

Wedding season is in full swing, and if you're like us, you have more than a few to attend. We're getting creative with our wardrobes and choosing styles that we can wear time and time again. Check back weekly to see what our stylish staff will be wearing this summer.  Today, we asked our marketing manager, Karyn, what she plans to wear to celebrate in the sun.  Always in favor of looks that she can easily restyle, Karyn gravitates towards separates.  Selecting versatile separates means that she can pair these new favourites with existing summer staples for a more relaxed vibe later.

PRETTY IN PINK

Karyn chose an easy summer look perfect for an outdoor venue.  In the spirit of restyling separates, she envisions the ruffle hem cami perfectly paired with cropped boyfriend denim and low-key backless loafers.  The detailed Zimmerman eyelet skirt would look equally stunning styled with a simple open-back bodysuit. Over-sized Crescent Hoops by LUV AJ and a few understated silver jewels are all this look needs. Karyn's go-to accessory is always a printed silk scarf.  Tied at the neck, she loves how it adds a pop of color to casual looks and tones down anything that feels too stiff or put together.  An envelope clutch and swoon-worthy ankle tie sandals in a wash of blush bring this pretty pink ensemble together perfectly.

LAID BACK LOVE

When the invite calls for casual and the bride embodies bohemian chic, you know an off-the-shoulder lace crop, floral embroidery and bold extras are exactly the way to go.  Karyn chose this combination for a variety of reasons.  1. The dreamy lace crop pairs perfectly with her current wardrobe - skirts, cut-offs and high waist flares are all better off next to this lace beauty. 2. She's a sucker for embellished and embroidered detailing.  Add florals, and she's sold.  3. Two words: Silk. Shorts.  Yep, these detailed silk shorts are as comfortable as they are beautiful... and that's all a girl really wants anyway - comfort.  4. Colour.  Seriously.  The girl who embraces all black everything has been branching out into the world of colour and she's totally drawn to this red studded Rebecca Minkoff.  Karyn loves the details (of course) and versatility too.  5. Diamonds.  They're the icing on the cake - always, and this look is no exception. She's been loving the new Simply Tacori rings with the diamond horizontally set east-west on the axis.  They're eye-catching and unique - a combination that Karyn always favors.

SHE WEARS THE PANTS

High waist wide leg pants have stolen Karyn's heart and all of her free closet space (if that's even possible).  Why? She loves that they elongate the legs, hide trouble spots, and have the most beautiful fluidity to them - she gives bonus points for the swish they make when walking. And all that blush?  In her opinion, monochromatic dressing is totally underrated - and we couldn't agree more.  Sticking with a single color look is an easy and stylish option when dressing up, or down.  Add a couple Tacori rose gold marquise diamond rings and LUV AJ extras, and she's set in the most beautiful monochromatic colour combination.  Quay sunnies, a Saint Laurent mini and blush Charlotte Tilbury lippy in the best blush hues make for the perfect single color accessories.

And there you have it!  Three stand out wedding guest looks hand picked by Karyn.  Will you embrace versatile separates this wedding season?  Check back next week to see Robert's top choices.
