Meet Megan and Ryan - love birds and the best of friends. These two share a mutual love of golf, appreciation of fine wine and major adoration for their sweet little Frenchie. Today they share their beautiful love story, and equally stunning photos. We just can't get enough. Consider yourself warned, we got the best kinda goosebumps reading their story - and we're sure you will too.

How did you two meet?

We first met in November of 2014 when a co-worker MADE me stop at OJ's for a drink so she could introduce Ryan and I. I remember being so nervous when she went to the washroom cause it was just he and I left to chat.

Ryan doesn't recall that encounter as much as is do, so his story is that we met on sheet 5 that the Golf & Curling Club when he was a fill in for our office's curling team.

How did you know he/she was the one?

To be honest, the first time we hung out we spent the evening sitting on his couch talking about everything we want in life.. kids, family, where we want life to take us... and it was like the stars aligned. Even down to the fact that both of our favorite wine is Liberty School and we both had always wanted a French Bull! I remember leaving his place and immediately meeting up with some girlfriends and gave them all the details - they could tell how happy I was and said "What if he is the one??" I will never forget the perma-smile I had on my face. After that you expect the "honeymoon" stage to go away but it never did and still hasn't. I wake up every day feeling so lucky I get to roll over and say good morning to the love of life. He also passed the big family test which to us is almost more important than passing my test!

Ryan: It's a feeling that overwhelms the body when it happens. It's really hard to explain but you just can't stop smiling when it happens. It's the feeling I get everyday when we are together. I just knew that at this moment I was the happiest I had ever been and going forward that Megan is the one I wanted to build my future with.

Any common interests or activities you enjoy participating in together?

We both truly enjoy the finer things in life... Fine wines & fine dining, we also love being slightly over the top when we travel as well. It is almost dangerous at times! We are both slightly obsessed playing/cuddling with our Frenchie Vino and really enjoy golfing together in the summer months.

Tell us about the proposal!

Ryan: I had planned this in October when we decided to go to Saskatoon for New Years just the two of us to get away from everyone and just have us to worry about. I booked a night at the James Hotel and dinner reservations at Ayden's. I always told Megan that I'd never propose at X-mas, New years, or Valentine's day since too many people do that so she had no idea it was coming. We had a great night of fine wine and dinning all night and then of course watched the fireworks on the river bank. The next morning is when the nerves started to kick in, (I didn't sleep at all that night) all I could think about is how I was going to do this and if it was going to be special enough. Anyway the next morning came very quickly and Megan got up and put her housecoat on (She loves housecoats way too much), so I put one on too. We were just sitting on the couch in the room talking about last night, what we did in 2016, and I brought up what we wanted to do in the up coming year. We talked about travelling and going here and there etc... That's when I did it. I got down on one knee and said "Well before we do any of that in 2017 I need to do this first... Will you Marry Me?" She said yes, the tears started and a little bit later she popped a bottle of her favourite champagne off the deck of our room and we celebrated.

I am in love with my ring!!! I wanted something timeless and something I will still love in 30 years and that is exactly what I got! I kinda always knew what I wanted (timeless & yellow gold) but when I had asked Ryan what he would choose for me it was the furthest thing from what I had in mind. I, of course wanted him to still be proud of what he picked out and I wanted him to love it as much I did. Alex did a great job going over all the possibilities in the world with us and being very patient with me! After narrowing it down to a few of my favorites I let Ryan make the final decision.

When planning your wedding, what are three of the most important aspects for you?

1) Food - It's a must that we have a plated meal and something we know our guest will really enjoy.

2) Time of year - Ryan's N/A all summer long so we knew that wasn't an option and we do not want to have to depend on the weather, so to us April is the best month to get married. Whether it is raining, snowing or the sun is shining on our wedding day it won't matter as we have planned accordingly.

3) Style - Timeless, elegant and romantic. We could have easily had a wedding of 300 guests but we know that we wouldn't get the style we wanted by hosting that many people. It has been a challenge making the guest list but we are happy we are sticking to the style we want for our special day.

What do you look forward to most about married-life?

I look forward the most to starting a family and creating even more memories with Ryan and our kids to come. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't also looking forward to a honeymoon!! Ryan & I are on the exact same page when it comes to this :)

And what aspect are you most excited about for your wedding day?

I am most excited for the morning of the wedding.... getting ready knowing I will be walking down an aisle in a few short hours to say "yes" to the rest of my life. I envision my morning being a very happy morning that will only continue into an amazing day.
