How long have you been working at GMG Jewellers?

Its been an amazing 19 years! Time flies when you love what you do!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I love helping people and being a part of such important life events. It is very special and a privilege.

GMG Jewellers is in the heart of DTNYXE, what's your favourite local activity?

Biking or walking on Saskatoon's Meewasin trail - it's so beautiful and relaxing.

What's your favourite gemstone?

Diamonds, of course but there are here are so many other beautiful gems. I love the unique qualities of Labradorite.

Some specimens of labradorite exhibit a schiller effect, which is a strong play of iridescent blue, green, red, orange, and yellow colors. Labradorite is so well known for these spectacular displays of color that the phenomenon is known as "labradorescence." Specimens with the highest quality labradorescence are often selected for use as gemstones.

Your resume is impressive. Tell us about your training and background in the jewellery industry.

I love to learn especially about this fascinating industry! Studying diamonds and gems is a passion of mine and I'm working towards completing the Graduate Gemmologist program through GIA.

What's your personal style?

I would describe my personal style as classic with a hint of trendiness.

Do you have a coveted item you're currently wishing for?

Anything from Hearts On Fire - especially a timeless pair of stud earrings - Hint Hint!
