Welcome to Feature Fridays - a weekly spotlight featuring our cherished staff members. Today, we're getting to know the ever charasmatic, Shawn. In Shawn's free time, you can surely find him playing ball with his teammates or soaking up the sunshine at one of our province's beautiful lakes.
How long have you been working at GMG Jewellers?
I have been working at GMG Jewellers for six years.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The best part of working at GMG is being able to experience a small part in so many peoples biggest moments.
GMG Jewellers is in the heart of DTNYXE, what's your favourite local spot?
I would say The Rook & Raven is my favorite go to lunch spot. They make a mean steak salad !
What's your favourite gemstone?
My favourite gemstone is a Brown diamond. I especially love the cognac shade as it's one of my favorite colors and it looks gorgeous with any skin tone. It's pretty interesting, Cognac diamonds are distinctly Australian and like their pink cousins, are mined in the Argyle mine in Western Australia.
Is there an item that stands out to you?
My favorite piece is the Criss Cross ring from Hearts On Fire's Lorelei collection. There's something about having the World's Most Perfectly Cut Diamond - it's second to none :D This right hand ring is a wearable style that’s effortless and perfect for any occasion.
