Pretty Push Presents - Kelsi Kendel

Pretty Push Presents - Kelsi Kendel

With baby due to arrive any day now (c'mon baby), I am on maternity leave from work and have more spare time on my hands than I am used to! The baby's room is ready, clothes washed, house cleaned, nesting complete.... there is not much left for me to do except wait.  Waiting is hard for me.  Patience is not my thing.  To fill some of the time, I have been looking at 'push presents.' If you are unfamiliar with the relatively new concept, a push present is when your baby daddy gifts you with a sweet sentiment or gift, at or following the birth of your baby.  It is meant to be a thank you or token of appreciation for all your hard work over the past nine months of carrying a child, and then of course the delivery.  Say what you will about push presents, it is not a practice for all but for those who choose to participate it can be something fun, sweet and thoughtful to look forward to.  Of course the greatest gift of all will be the arrival of your little one.

On my push present vision board, I have included a second wedding band. I so love my first and know how fabulous my finger would look with another.  If I don't get this as a push present, it would also make an excellent wedding anniversary present.  This is the Tacori Petite Crescent Wedding Band in white gold.

Next, I would absolutely love and appreciate some much-needed me time at the spa.  I could use a facial, as well as a few treatments at Midwest Laser to even out of my 'pregnancy skin-tone.'  The pregnancy glow isn't always all it's cracked up to be.

Another push present I am currently coveting is the Tacori Love Letter Necklace, in the letter 'B' for our baby to be.  This diamond pendant necklace is timeless and would be treasured for a lifetime.

With new expenses expected, a lavish push present isn't always in the cards.  I would be overjoyed to receive a beautiful bouquet of my favourite flowers (peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas) from my go-to local flower shop, Anthology.

My amazing friends have already started planning me a June baby shower, even though little one hasn't even arrived yet! This got me thinking "what am I going to wear?!" Advice from my momma friends was to find something I felt pretty in and could breastfeed in. I fell in love with the tiered lace maxi dress by Free People. It's the perfect summer shower dress. So feminine and bohemian.

Finally, I am usually a lover of large, statement jewelry; however, I am thinking I may need some more simple pieces for everyday wear with my new babe.  These diamond stud earrings would be a wardrobe staple and could be worn day in and day out.  Love their classic simplicity.

I hope you enjoyed exploring my push present dream board, as much as I enjoyed making it. What would be on yours?
