A Wedding For Two

A Wedding For Two

You may remember Julie and JN from In Bloom blog.  We were fortunate to feature their love story recently, complete with the beautiful details of their engagement.  We could hardly wait for these newlyweds to return from their wedding in Austria and had goosebumps viewing their wedding photographs.  I mean, could it have been any more lovely? Find out more about their special day below!

Where were you married?
We got married in Austria in a little lake town called Grundlsee.

How did you decide on the location?
Grundlsee is 30 minutes away from JN's dad's hometown and where JN's Oma lived until December 2015 when she passed away.

What was the most memorable part of your big day?
The most memorable part for JN was finally seeing Julie come around the corner in her beautiful dress with a big smile on her face. It was a moment of pure happiness, clarity and dedication.

For Julie it was also the moment I came around the corner and saw JN standing there. He had the most sincere smile on his face. I was so overwhelmed with happiness. I was trying to smile normally but couldn't help myself from crying tears of joy.   Also, the way the weather cooperated. The rain had stopped just before the ceremony began, and we made the decision to move everything outside. It started raining again the moment we were done photos. We were so lucky!

Tell us about your wedding day and how you celebrated.
We had a nice breakfast in Salzburg and then drove to Grundlsee in the early afternoon. We met with our wedding planner and photographer and then Julie got her hair done in a little neighbouring town. JN waited by the car for the whole hair appointment because he couldn't figure out how to use the parking meter!
Back at the hotel, we got ready together and JN left before Julie got into her dress. The ceremony was short and sweet and we celebrated with champagne.
Afterwards, we took pictures around the lake for a couple hours before sitting down to a fantastic meal in the hotel restaurant.
There was a big thunderstorm going on when we left so we ran in the rain back to our room and enjoyed the sights from our balcony with some more champagne.

What made your wedding unique?
Our wedding was unique because it was very non-traditional. We were the only two people there.

Many thanks to Julie and JN for returning to In Bloom to share their gorgeous wedding details and to Enrique Pasquali for the breathtaking images.
